Lowri James trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
Her theatre credits include Dead Dog in a Suitcase (and other love songs) for Kneehigh, Against Captain’s Orders for Punchdrunk, Lady Macbeth in RIFT’s overnight Macbeth at Balfron Tower, The Tear Thief at the Royal Exchange, Migrants Overture at Battersea Arts Centre, Protect Me From What I Want at the Young Vic Theatre, Up in the Air for Contact Theatre, Imogen at Bristol Old Vic, Feral at the New Wimbledon Theatre and Burn My Heart at Trestle Theatre and the Tobacco Factory.
She is also a theatre maker and puppeteer and has developed new work for the National Theatre Studio, Battersea Arts Centre and Soho Theatre. Her puppetry credits include Macbeth and Skitterbang Island at Little Angel Theatre, How Long is a Piece of String at The Oily Cart and Inside Out for Les Images Et Marionettes. She is developing her new play The Man in the Green Boots with the Barbican.
