Jimmy Maize is a director and writer with a history of devising new plays and musicals. Most recent writing/directing credits include The Temple Bombing (The Alliance Theatre) and Harbored, a large-scale site-specific work that took over New York City’s Brookfield Place (En Garde Arts / River to River Festival). Other directing credits include his 100-actor reimagining of Spoon River Anthology (3-Legged Dog), The Tempest and Much Ado About Nothing (Classic Stage Company). He is a 15-year member of Tectonic Theater Project, and has been instrumental in such works as I Am My Own Wife (Broadway), Bengal Tiger At The Baghdad Zoo (Broadway), 33 Variations (Broadway), The Laramie Project and The Laramie Project: 10 Years Later (BAM). He is a co-author of the recently published book, Moment Work: Tectonic Theater Project’s Process of Devising Theater. Member: SDC.
